灵魂不会消亡

The nature of the soul after death can never be described, nor is it meet and permissible to reveal its whole character to the eyes  of men. The Prophets and Messengers of God have been sent down for the sole purpose of guiding mankind to the straight Path of Truth. The purpose underlying their revelation hath been to educate all men that they may, at the hour of death, ascend, in the utmost purify and sanctity and with absolute detachment, to the throne of the Most High. . . . The world beyond is as different from this world as this world is different from that of the child while still in the womb of its mother. ——Baha’u’llah.

人死后，灵魂的性质是难于形容的。而且，也不适宜、亦不允许将它的性质全都揭示出来。上天遣派先知或圣人来到人间，纯粹是为了引导人们走上真理的直道，祂们的启示是为了教化众生，以致人们在死亡的时刻，能以极大的纯洁、神圣和超脱，飞升至最高者的殿座前……彼岸的世界有异于此世，正如孩子之前所处的胚胎世界和这个世界之间有所差别一样。——巴哈欧拉。

This composition of atoms, which constitutes the body or mortal element of any created being, is temporary. When the power of attraction, which holds these atoms together, is withdrawn, the body, as such, ceases to exist. 

With the soul it is different. The soul is not a combination of elements, it is not composed of many atoms, it is of one indivisible substance, and therefore eternal. It is entirely out of the order of the physical creation; it is immortal. ——Abdu’l-Baha... 

由原子结合而成的肉体，乃至一切物体，都是暂时性的。当组成肉体的原子的吸引力消失，肉体也就不复存在。

灵魂就不同了。灵魂不是由物质组成的，不是由原子的结合形成，它是一整个不可分开的存在。因此它是永恒的。它完全超越创造物的规律，不会消亡。——阿博都-巴哈。
