智慧书简（部分）

（这是完全慈悲者从话语的王国里送下来的一篇书简，它确实是赐给居住在创造世界里的众生一个生命的气息…）

全世界的人民啊！远离所有邪恶，紧握一切的良善；竭尽所能，成为人类光辉的楷模；做个真正提醒人们专注于上天美德的人。凡是奋身而起，为我的圣道服务的人，必须体现我的智慧，全力以赴剔除人间的愚昧。

你们必须通过协商团结在一起，思想要一致。让每个早晨比黄昏更好，每个明天比昨天更丰富。人的价值在于服务与德行，而非展示其华丽之财富。

留意你的言语，它必须摆脱无谓的妄想和物质欲望；留意你的行动，它不可鬼鬼祟祟惺惺作态；别将宝贵的生命和财富浪掷在邪恶、腐化的情感上，也不要将事业建立在促进个人的利益上。

在充裕的日子要慷慨，损失的时候要忍耐。逆境之后成功随之而来，畅快之后总是出现哀伤。

不论老少高低，都必须时刻警惕自己，免于怠惰无为，而需致力于有益人类的事务。

你要小心，以免在人群中栽种分裂的莠草，在纯淨的心田散播怀疑的蒺藜。

热爱上天的人们啊！别让你的行为染污了爱的涓涓流水，破坏了友情的芬芳。我以主的正直誓言，上天创造了你们，是为了让你们彼此相爱，而不是互相仇恨怙恶。不要以爱自己为荣，要以爱人类同胞而骄傲；不要因爱自己的国家感到光荣，要以热爱全人类而自豪。

使你的眼睛贞洁，你的手忠诚，你的舌讲真话，你的心光明。

别贬低了巴哈之中，有学问的人物的地位；也不要贬低你们当中，公正地管理人们事物的统治者。将你的依赖放在正义之军上，穿上智慧的铠甲，以宽恕、慈悲和叫上天喜爱的人们觉得畅快的行为，作为你的装饰。…

拿出你最大的力量，以智慧和善言，将真理的言词奠定，将虚假从地球的脸上抹去。神圣知识的涌泉，从璀璨的地平线，给你发出这样的指示。

Tablet of Wisdom of Baha’u’llah (partial)

O peoples of the world! Forsake all evil, hold fast that which is good. Strive to be shining examples unto all mankind, and true reminders of the virtues of God amidst men. He that riseth to serve My Cause should manifest My wisdom, and bend every effort to banish ignorance from the earth. Be united in counsel, be one in thought. Let each morn be better than its eve and each morrow richer than its yesterday. Man’s merit lieth in service and virtue and not in the pageantry of wealth and riches. Take heed that your words be purged from idle fancies and worldly desires and your deeds be cleansed from craftiness and suspicion. Dissipate not the wealth of your precious lives in the pursuit of evil and corrupt affection, nor let your endeavours be spent in promoting your personal interest. Be generous in your days of plenty, and be patient in the hour of loss. Adversity is followed by success and rejoicings follow woe. Guard against idleness and sloth, and cling unto that which profiteth mankind, whether young or old, whether high or low. Beware lest ye sow tares of dissension among men or plant thorns of doubt in pure and radiant hearts…

O ye beloved of the Lord! Commit not that which defileth the limpid stream of love or destroyeth the sweet fragrance of friendship. By the righteousness of the Lord! Ye were created to show love one to another and not perversity and rancour. Take pride not in love for yourselves but in love for your fellow-creatures. Glory not in love for your country, but in love for all mankind. Let your eye be chaste, your hand faithful, your tongue truthful and your heart enlightened. Abase not the station of the learned 139 in Bahá and belittle not the rank of such rulers as administer justice amidst you. Set your reliance on the army of justice, put on the armour of wisdom, let your adorning be forgiveness and mercy and that which cheereth the hearts of the well-favoured of God….

Endeavour to the utmost of thy powers to establish the word of truth with eloquence and wisdom and to dispel falsehood from the face of the earth. Thus directeth thee the Dayspring of divine knowledge from this luminous horizon…
